Rafa Cavalheri is an artist and LGBTQIA+ activist from the interior of São Paulo. He holds an incomplete Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and is a Fashion Designer (Anhembi Morumbi). Her poetic research stands out for its immersion in the intersections between gender, sustainability and human rights . Throughout her career, she has developed a unique artistic language, combining drawings, sewing and urban interventions with inspirations from fashion lines and artisanal techniques such as “quilt”.

His work stands out not only in the visual arts, but also extends to the field of Research, Curation and Creative Economy . Rafa has a strong track record in teaching and technical training in arts and design and has actively worked in the mediation and implementation of artistic, socio-educational and community projects , covering diverse territories in the state of São Paulo.

He is currently a member of the exhibition design research group, led by Prof. Dr. Mirtes Marins, studying diversity and inclusion in collections and exhibitions, delving into bibliographies, methodologies and exhibition data. He is the artistic producer and educational coordinator of the 4th Jaboticabal Art and Culture Biennial (AJC) - PROAC 2023. Also in 2024, he also coordinates the Social Mobilization Working Group for the Review of the National Museum Education Policy - COMUSE - IBRAM . In 2023, he was awarded the Paulo Gustavo Law - SP Notice for cultural improvement in museum institutions. Furthermore, in 2019, he was an educator for the “Street Style” Project, for Education in Sustainable Fashion. aimed at young people and teenagers from ITU - SP. Previously, in 2018, she was in charge of the "Beauty Project in Cracolândia" , an initiative that focused on reaffirming self-esteem and making clothes for women in vulnerable situations in Cracolândia in São Paulo.

His works, research and projects have been presented in renowned venues such as the Unicamp Art Gallery, Paulínia Municipal Theater, FAMA Museum - Itu, Ribeirão Preto Museum of Contemporary Art, Jaboticabal Historical Museum and ATAL609 Studio in Campinas, in partnership with the Leonilson Institute - SP. With a critical and sensitive view of the contemporary world, Rafa Cavalheri not only challenges artistic conventions, but also promotes profound social reflection, making his art a powerful instrument of change and awareness.
